WAS TERMINATED ON SEPTEMBER 25, 2023 RECEIVED AN EMAIL. THE HEART OF THE MATTER HERE IS, IS I HAD A QUESTION ON ETHICS IN THE WORKPLACE, AND WASN'T THE ONLY APPRAISER THAT HAD THESE CONCERNS THIS YEAR WAS A LITTLE BIT WEIRD. IN VALUATION. WE SAW APPRAISALS GO UP. LOOKS LIKE THE MARKET HAD INCREASED FROM 2022 UP UNTIL MAY, AND THEN, DUE TO INTEREST RATES, OR WHATEVER WE WANT TO CALL IT MARKET ADJUSTMENT, HITTING INTEREST RATES AT 4.5% SAW DOWNWARD SHIFT DEEPER. SENT SOME OF THAT MATERIAL HERE ON THE SECOND PAGE, JUST SHOWING A LITTLE GRAPH HERE. THE PRIMARY FOCUS THAT I HAD THOUGH WAS IN OUR PILOT PROGRAM IN PFLUGERVILLE. THIS WAS A NEW PROGRAM THE TCAD INTRODUCED, IT WAS THE FIRST TIME WE NOTICED VALUES BASED ON SALES COMPARABLES BROUGHT AN ISSUE OUT. WAS WRITTEN UP IN MAY. WE HAD A GROUP OF ABOUT HALF A DOZEN VETERAN APPRAISERS THAT GOT WRITTEN UP BECAUSE IN FORMALS, IT WAS BELIEVED WE WERE SETTING VALUES TOO LOW THAT WERE NOT REASONABLE BASED ON THE PERCENT CUTS AS WE GOT INTO FORMAL HEARINGS. YOU KNOW, A LOT OF THESE GOT DROPPED EVEN FURTHER. I GIVE SOME EXAMPLES OF THAT HERE ON THE LATTER PAGES. BUT IN A NUTSHELL, IF WE LOOK ON PAGE THREE, WHAT I WANT TO GET AT IS, IN 2022 THE DISTRICT DID MONTHLY TIME APPRECIATION ADJUSTMENTS. I STOOD BEHIND THIS, YOU KNOW, DEFENDED IT IN HEARING SEASONS HERE IN THE MIDDLE SECTION, HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW, I STAYED OUT IT STATED OUT HERE ON OUR SALES NOTICES FOR 2022 BASED ON THE INCREASE IN HOME PRICES IN TRAVIS COUNTY, YOU KNOW, BASICALLY COMPARABLE PROPERLY, PROPERTY HAD TO BE APPROPRIATELY ADJUSTED. SO WE APPLIED MONTHLY TIME ADJUSTMENTS, WHICH IS ON THE NEXT PAGE. THIS WAS ACTUALLY OUR SALES CALCULATOR THAT WAS USED FOR TIME ADJUSTMENT.
